RADIOFREQUENCY ( RF )

Radiofrequency (RF) treatments are procedures involving the use of a radiofrequency (RF) energy device to heat up and tighten tissue to boost blood flow and break down cellulite and fat. The radiofrequency energy heats the skin without damaging it, in order to break down fatty cells and stimulate collagen production, which improves skin tone and elasticity. Besides on the face, radiofrequency treatments can be used to treat excess pockets of fat on the stomach, hips and thighs, reduce cellulite and tighten saggy skin caused by weight loss or pregnancy. The treatment is very safe and has minimal downtime.

  • Skin tightening on the face, arms, abdomen, buttocks and leg
  • Reversing Facial Sag
  • Cellulite treatment
  • Fat reduction (not elimination) on the arms, abdomen, buttocks and legs
  • Complete body contouring
  • Pre liposuction skin tightening
  • Post liposuction smoothing
  • Post cryolipolysis procedures
  • Reduction in depth of wrinkles
  • Elimination of facial skin blemishes
  • More youthful facial skin complexion.

RF treatment for face works by delivering radiofrequency electromagnetic energy onto the facial skin via an electrode. Through use of certain frequencies it is possible to penetrate the outer skin layers (the “upper dermis” and “epidermis”). The energy is then absorbed by underlying skin tissues causing them to heat up, cooling the skin surface using cryogenic spray prevents damage to the top layers of skin.

This heating of deep skin tissue causes controlled injury to the subdermal layer. This in turn leads to healing of microscopic dermal and subdermal lesions, skin contraction and increased collagen production.

It is recommended to have a course of four sessions (once every three to four weeks) for facial tightening.

A treatment session can be expected to last between 25-40 minutes and is usually recommended once every one to two weeks with an average of eight sessions in a body treatment program.
